Accreditions and Affiliations

IIPE maintains relationships with a growing network of professional organizations and associations, that promote professional development. These include formal affiliations with external accrediting bodies that have reviewed and recognized the high quality of the IIPE’s training courses and professional development activities.

Our Associates  have worked with us and have supported us in extending IIPE’s mandate and presence in Canada and Internationally. The Associates of IIPE have been doing leading edge work in the field of career development.

Until the late 1980s, there was little training available for Canadians assisting persons with disabilities who were looking for employment. There was also a notable shortage of disability-related training programs for employers. Recognizing these needs, the CCRW became a major source of training workshops related to the employment of persons with disabilities in Canada. CCRW cultivated relationships with companies adapting to new obligations to increase the number of persons with disabilities and other designated groups in their workforces.

Pathways to Education Canada is a not-for-profit organization that provides a range of supports for students, including tutoring and mentoring, in partnership with the private sector, other levels of government, and community organizations. Pathways to Education Canada is working with local partners in 12 sites across Canada to support  youths in pursuing the completion of their studies.

One of the most significant challenges facing companies today are labour and  skills shortages, a problem that is expected to worsen with continued  demographic shifts as there are more exits from labour force and fewer are entering skilled and technical trades.

Manufacturing Skills Centre is developed to address and tackle these critical issues , examine all aspects of skills and labour shortages and work in close partnership with relevant stakeholders to find or create solutions that can help address identified challenges.

IACET’s history includes development of the original Continuing Education Unit (CEU) and creation and maintenance of the ANSI/IACET Standard for Continuing Education and Training.

IACET uses the ANSI/IACET Standard, in-depth research on the learning process and a nationwide network of experts to, helps companies, associations, government agencies and other continuing education and training providers to develop a framework for continuous improvement and a superior learning experience.

Human Resources Management Association (HRMA) propels the HR profession forward by supporting its members with education and advocacy. Founded in 1942, HRMA has grown to include more than 5,500 members encompassing CEOs, VPs, directors of HR, HR generalists, HR advisors, consultants, educators, students and small-business owners in BC and the Yukon.

HRMA, the largest HR association in Western Canada, offers professional development and networking opportunities as well as resources for every stage of your career.The association is the grantor of the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation in BC and the Yukon.

NAPS , the body of knowledge represents the employment laws of the nation and how they relate to the day to day functioning of the search and staffing professional. To champion better work and working lives by improving practices in people and organisation development for the benefit of individuals, businesses, economies and society. Mastery of that body of knowledge is determined by passing a certification examination conducted by NAPS.

NBCC’s original and primary purposes are to establish and monitor a national certification system, to identify those counselors who have voluntarily sought and obtained certification, and to maintain a register of those counselors. NBCC and its affiliates have taken on additional responsibilities to advance the counseling profession and enhance mental health worldwide. NBCC advances counseling as the premier certification body of the profession.

The Richmond Chamber of Commerce exists to provide services, resources and  advocacy to foster growth and benefit in the business community. We believe a healthy community can only be maintained by a strong local economy.The Richmond Chamber represents and works for  members, which include businesses and organizations not only located in Richmond but those located elsewhere and doing business in Richmond.

BRITISH COLUMBIA CAREER DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION (BCCDA) is a non-profit professional association registered under the Society Act in the Province of BC. Incorporated in 2010, BCCDA was formed through the merger of BC Career Management Association (LMI Career Management Association of BC) and ENET Society (Employment, Network, Education and Training Society).


NECA

The National Employment Counseling Association (“NECA”) finds its historical parents in the professional vocational and career guidance movement and the U.S. Department of Labor. NECA’s roots include the 1898 beginning of education and career counseling assistance for high school students and the founding of the National Vocational Guidance Association (NVGA) in 1913, which through merger, ,evolved into today’s American Counseling Association (ACA).

The thrust for a separate association for employment and workforce counselors was given major impetus in the Kennedy era with the 1962 Manpower Development and Training Act and the 1964 Economic Opportunity Act addressing problems experienced by adults excluded from the labor market, expanding employment counseling services, and the need for professional counselors to provide them.

The Association for Assessment in Counseling and Education (AACE) is an organization of counselors, educators, and other professionals that advances the counseling profession by providing leadership, training, and research in the creation, development, production, and use of assessment and diagnostic techniques.

The mission of AACE is to promote and recognize scholarship, professionalism, leadership, and excellence in the development and use of assessment and diagnostic techniques in counseling.
